I began my illustration work, alongside my artistic practice, by contributing with illustrations for Product - a Scottish culture magazine. Furthermore I have made illustration for Anders Holst Markussen a freelance food writer. He has written articles for the Danish newspaper Weekendavisen, where I illustrated his articles, and I also designed the bookcover for his debut book Mælkefyldte gallionsfigurer.
My work as a visual artist and the influence from the contemporary art scene inspires my illustrations. My working method is that I use a mixture of different media combined such as paper, found objects, drawing and photography. To capture the essence of a text I strive for an interpretation that portrays the underlying mood and feeling of the text.
